Education is a significant social institution of society which plays a crucial role in maintaining and developing the social system. It is considered as a collective and systematic social manner which inculcates beliefs, values, attitude and philosophies. Besides, it also creates platform for proper adjustment in individuals life and make them valuable citizens. To quote a few intellectuals;

With objectives of access of higher education to all, this Model Degree College was established in 2016 in a gram panchayat in the district of Malkangiri, Odisha to cater quality teaching to the children of backward regions, especially among those coming from deprived communities in order bring them to the mainstream society. This Government College is located on about 10 acres of land in the midst of virgin beauties of bountiful greenfield with a 3-storey building and 15 departments.
It offers undergraduate Honors Programmes in Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, History, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Zoology. Besides that, the college encourages sports and games, cultural activities, debates, essays, etc. The college also has units like Red Cross, NSS, Sports & Games etc.to develop social and interactive activities among youths. College emphasizes physical classroom interaction, virtual classroom, teachers-students’ relationships, and other valued-based activities to make themselves next-generation citizens in diversified fields. It also encourages its faculty members for research and career building activities. The college is young one and needs supports from all concerned for further and higher growth and development.
